What is the Global Knowledge Exchange Initiative?

“Steve Jobs once asked me for some advice about retail, but I said, ‘I am not sure at all we are in the same business.’” Bernard Arnault · CEO, Louis Vuitton

Sometimes you just want to talk to someone in your same role, in your same field, about how they’ve tackled the same challenges you’re facing.

Other times, someone with a different perspective can help you see a problem in a new way that leads to solutions no one’s ever thought of before.

A useful knowledge exchange requires the right balance of
common ground, different points of view, and shared context.

Perspective

Someone who shares the same role at a similar type of organization.

Experience

Someone who has encountered the same problem, goal, or decision.

Environment

Someone who has worked with the same tools or frameworks.

How Sessions Work

01

Propose a topic you would like to discuss with your peers and identify any specific tools or frameworks that would be useful for other participants to have experience with. Other leaders with relevant experience can then request to join the discussion.

About

After years of attending traditional conferences and networking events, we realized the most useful takeaways often come from just talking to someone who’s been in your shoes or has experience with the same goals or challenges you’re focused on.

Since this type of exchange can work perfectly well with a simple Zoom call scheduled over a lunch hour, we created National Leader Forum as a free resource for leaders who just want to compare notes with peers in the same role and industry on the practical topics most relevant to them.

Our mission

We’re committed to making it easy for people in any field to get objective feedback from peers with relevant first-hand experience.

Charitable impact

All profits from sponsored events go toward charitable organizations selected by our community members.
